Luxe Pack New York 2007

Luxe Pack New York stays true while continuing to grow.

Luxe Pack New York attracted 1,793 visitors to its fifth edition, a 21% increase over last year. The event, held May 23-24 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City, showcased nearly 100 packaging manufacturers from around the globe, exhibiting the best in innovative packaging.

Over 30 companies exhibited for the first time, including ABA Packaging, C+N Packaging, Curtis Packaging, Dieter Bakic Enterprises, HCP Packaging USA, James Alexander Corp., Lumson SPA, Monadnock Paper Mills, RPC Group and Seacliff Beauty Packaging & Laboratories.

Special events included a presentation by industrial design star Karim Rashid, a seminar on green packaging, and a panel discussion conducted by designer Marc Rosen. Special exhibits included The Fragrance Foundation’s FiFi nominees and packaging designs from four recipients of the Marc Rosen Scholarship for Graduate Package Design at Pratt Institute.

“Our fifth anniversary was marked by the best Luxe Pack New York to date, according to feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike,” says Nathalie Grosdidier, General Manager, Luxe Pack.     

“The event has grown steadily without losing its soul, as a very special gathering for innovation in an intimate, convivial and lounge-like atmosphere.”

Future show dates include Luxe Pack Sao Paulo, Oct. 3-4, Centro Fecomercio de Eventos, Brazil; Luxe Pack Monaco, Oct. 23-26, Grimaldi Forum, Monaco; and the first-ever edition of Luxe Pack Shanghai, Nov. 19-21, Shanghai International Convention Center, Shanghai.
